Dallas E-bike Laws and Regulations
- Safety Equipment: E-bikes are required to have working brakes and lights, just like traditional bicycles. Riders under 18 need to wear a helmet.
- Road Rules: In Dallas, electric bikes are treated similarly to traditional bicycles in terms of laws and regulations. E-bikes are subject to the same traffic laws as traditional bicyclists. Riders must obey all traffic signals and signs, and must ride in the same direction as traffic. E-bikes are not allowed on sidewalks, unless the local jurisdiction allows them.
